The term late-breaking has become synonymous with the most exciting new research at a medical meeting. These abstracts often play a crucial role in changing clinical practice, or at least setting the stage for such change. However, they do not represent a majority of the original research presented at most meetings. Nevertheless, it can be argued that the pendulum has swung too far and the emphasis on late-breaking has cast a shadow over many other original research presentations.
The late-breaking abstract program is a unique opportunity for investigators to present results of novel, relevant, or impactful research at the International Congress 2025. The criteria for submitting an abstract to the late-breaking category are:
